Medina has had a series of fires that has destroyed all before it, except the future place of Whitey's Army Navy store just to the right in this picture. Before the 1920s the square was devestated by two fires that destroyed everything except where Whitey's is giving the future owner Jim Thwaite a sense of luck where his store is placed. Futhermore, the building being rebuilt was destated by yet another fire, but the building to the right, Whitey's in about forty years.
